The sun appears, the holidays are approaching and the beach has a lot of skin again. However, when looking in the mirror, many women feel less willing to sunbathe: the small dents extend up the ass and thighs – cellulite. No wonder people look for everything that promises fast, smooth skin and bikini. Cosmetic shelves contain expensive gel, creams and packages. The best friend has just read something about cellulite somewhere and advises eating asparagus or drinking coffee in rough amounts. But does all this really help with orange skin? We question a dermatologist and tell them what’s fighting the dents.
Don’t worry about the creams.
The cosmetic industry is the one that spreads the most mistakes on the orange skin: it is said that countless creams and dyes help with active substances such as caffeine, cocoa or Gingko. The Berlin dermatologist, Dr. Gertraud Kremer, says:”you can easily forget these creams and apply them to your skin.” The reason is that the active substances do not reach where they should work, that is to say, the lower part of the skin where fat cells are stored and cause ugly dents.
Small tips and tricks
Women’s magazines talk about simple tricks that supposedly help with orange skin. “Most of this is false and has no scientific basis,” says Gertraud Kremer. For example, drinking coffee is always recommended because caffeine is said to increase turnover and the body burns more calories. “However, coffee is totally ineffective,” Kremer says. Other medicines, such as silicic acid, cannot increase the damage to connective tissue. “But you can’t fight cellulite on your own,” Kremer knows.
The only useful remedy against cellulite is sport.
Lack of movement causes the muscle of the body to decrease and, in turn, to be replaced by adipose tissue. Therefore, the only effective method to reduce bloated fat cells under the skin is to do a lot of exercise. “Running or riding a bike can cause the burning of fat. Metabolism also recovers in problem areas, ” Kremer recommends. The dermatologist also advises muscle strength training because fat cells at rest do not consume energy, while the muscles do. Of course, it’s no use eating the fat used in jogging again. Therefore, eat as low as possible and drink a lot. In combination with sport, it can harden your connective tissue.
Suction pumps and syringes to remove fat
Some women make a great effort to fight the lumps on the thigh: liposuction is done or rubbed with special suction pumps. Others overcome the fear of the syringe: a liquid can be injected into each of the fat trays to dissolve the fat. Others rely on a kind of acupuncture with electric shocks: on the call Polisis cell, are pinned several needles in the skin and electrocute them. The electric field is supposed to melt the fat. “These methods help, but only a few months. Without Sports and a proper diet, fat will return soon,” Kremer said. Besides, these treatments are very expensive. Insurance doesn’t pay. The conclusion is that anyone who wants to fight the orange skin must do so with perseverance and discipline. There is No magic.
