I have been exercising with a pilates performer for 13 years(on and off) when the machine was upgraded with a cardio rebounder I bought a new upgraded machine. I noticed some great things with the rebounder and one was that my cellulite was diminished. I no longer hated looking at my thighs. I got very busy with work and traveling for work and started skipping my pilates home workout sessions. Before long my pilates workouts were history. I startedZumba classes a year ago and while the classes are high level they have done nothing for the cellulite that has been creeping up on my thighs. I have within the last last month started back on my aeropilates and am shocked at how much better my legs are doing. I am working out three to four days a week on the aeropilates and taking zumba classes three days a week. I will be looking at my results in about two months. I think I will be pleased.

Thanks for sharing this exciting news, Ann!  Do you think it's the addition of the rebounder that is making the difference with the cellulite?  I'm not familiar with aeropilates machines.  Is this what you're using, the Stamina AeroPilates Reformer with Free-Form Cardo Rebounder

Rebounding on a mini-trampoline is supposed to be one of the best exercises for improving lymphatic circulation.  Does the machine involve any type of "trampoline-like" movements?

Can't wait to hear how your 2-month challenge works out. Please keep us upated!

I have one of the rebounders that is the stand up kind…trust me different results although a similar idea. I never saw any difference in the cellulite with the stand up kind. The pilates rebounder has cords(weighted) that totally change the rebounding experience. Rebounding while in a prone position with the cords is a challenge and it will flatten your stomach, thighs, and butt! Rebounding time is only 10 minutes and it is a workout that will get your heart rate higher than running. Also way safer!! I have honestly tried most everything in my search for the cellulite cure and this is the most effective plus it is time well spend for total fitness…can't beat that. After several sessions on the rebounder I couldn't believe the difference in my thighs…it must force the fluid out of the cellulite areas. By the way that amazon price for the aeropilates is very good. That particular machine has risers(short poles at the front where the cords go through) and that makes the machine much more effective with leg work. I have a very hectic schedule if I can squeeze 10 min.  the rebounding is what I do. You can have a sleek looking body doing 20 min. 3 to 4 times a week. I may sound like an advertisement and I promise I have no connection to this company, I am a teacher….I just am amazed that one machine can cover so many issues.Laugh

Thanks for these videos, Ann!  Now I have a much better idea what you are talking about.  I love that rebounder feature.  The idea of getting in a good workout in 20 minutes is appealing, too.

As I was watching the videos, I remembered that someone had mentioned aeropilates in an email once.  She said:

Aeropilates works because of the rebounder on the bottom. Rebounding on this is VERY different that the tradiational upright one…much more challenging and will give you an unblievable flat stomach. My stomach was already flat but this even trimmed it more.

She also wrote about the wellbox, and said there are good deals on Craigslist.  I looked up aeropilates on Craigslist and sure enough, there are several in my area.  Is there a certain model I should look for?  I like the idea of recycling exercise equipment.  :)

Melissa, I sent the email about the pilates and the wellbox…..I think all of the pilates models that have the risers are excellent. If you know the model number you can google it and you can tell from a photo if it has risers. The ones without the risers on the front look like this

Good to know! I contacted someone on Craigslist and she has a 55-4650B so I emailed to ask about the risers.

I didn't put your username together with your email address that you are the one who emailed me about the wellbox, etc! That means I have an email from you about GUAM Beauty Mud that has been sitting in my inbox for way too long without a response. Sorry! That is the main reason I started this forum. For some reason I am much better with replying to comments and messages online than to email.

I'm trying! I'll let you know if I get my hands on one. I am trying to arrange a time to go look at one, but it will probably have to wait until the weekend. Hopefully it will still be available!

I got it for under $100!  It's in great condition, too.  I love a good deal.  Wow, 10 minutes on this baby went by much slower than 10 minutes on my normal rebounder.  Surprised

But seriously, I really like it so far! It doesn't take long to feel that burn in your legs. It's nice how it works the abs at the same time. The only thing I don't like is that I feel like I'm a little too short for it.  When I'm at the bottom of the bounce, I repeatedly hit the stoppers at the base of the seat.  It's a jarring stop instead of a nice smooth bounce.  I need to either stop bending my legs so much or see if the seat can be adjusted for people with shorter legs (I'm 5'2).  Hopefully it's something I can get accustomed to.  I'll let you know.  How is your challenge going?

I have had been sick for 10 days and just getting my energy back…..will start the pilates up tomorrow!!

Wow you got a deal!!!!!!!I am 5' and have two pilates machines,,,,actually gave the other one to my son and daughter-in-law last week. Anyway the machine I kept is slightly smaller three cord machine. it is easier to rebound on. I could rebound fine on the other one but the smaller machine is my favorite. the rebounding is slightly awkward at first….be sure you are using a dvd set for the rebounding…it gives tips.

After five sessions most people really notice some real tightening all over.Laugh

Glad you're feeling better, Ann!  Silly me forgot to get the dvds and owner's manual when I picked up the machine.  Fortunately, the woman I bought them from is kind enough to mail them to me.  That should help me maximize my rebounding time.
