Maybe it’s the New York accent. Maybe it’s the fact that, at sixty-six years old, she looks this great in a bikini. Whatever it is, there’s just something about Joyce Vedral that makes you want to flex your way to cellulite freedom. (Admit it, you’re squeezing your glutes right now, aren’t you!)
Since we’ve been reading through Joyce Vedral’s book, Bottoms Up!, in our Cellulite Book-of-the-Month (BOTM) research group, I thought it would be fun to include a few clips of Joyce in action so you can get a feel for the energy she brings to her workouts.
This first clip is the intro to her Complete Weight Training Series. She explains how to break-in to a new weight training routine and what weights to select for your workout.
(UPDATE: I had to change both the videos below since the original ones were no longer available on youtube.)
This video is the intro to her new Cougar workout. Do you like Joyce’s definition of what a cougar is? It’s different from the wikipedia version, but we know language is what we (collectively) interpret it to be –so being a cougar is what we, as a society, make of it. Why not make it something positive? Besides all that, I love her emphasis on Super Duper at the end!
I just noticed that Joyce put all of her cellulite books and DVDs on sale on her homepage, www.JoyceVedral.com, and shipping is only $1. Thanks, Joyce, for making it extra easy for us! We’ll continue our research into the Bottoms Up! workout later next week. Until then, who inspires you to reach your fitness goals?

I wish I looked half as good as her and I am only 40.I really need to start working out more often.
I have enough DVD's to make cellulite a thing of the past if I actually used them. I have to really work on motivation.
Hope you have a blessed day.
I saw a couple of her books on bookcloseouts.com too. They were pretty cheap.
Thanks for the tip, Tracie! I'm always on the lookout for book bargains. Its all about used books on Amazon for me lately.
Ms. Bibi and Kimberly –I think most of us are in the same boat when it comes to workout motivation. I like Bronwyn Hewitt's take on the matter (she's our resident cellulite guru here at the Cellulite Investigation). Start with good nutrition, and let the energy to workout come to you.
But also, I've heard from a lot of women who are very athletic, but still have cellulite. It's reported that even ballerinas and gymnasts sometimes have cellulite, though I have yet to confirm that fact. Working out must surely help with cellulite, but I'm not convinced it's the whole story. (Although I hope that doesn't hinder your motivation to workout!)
Hi, I'm stopping by from Sat. Sharefest. I know it's Sunday, but what the heck. I think I have a book from Joyce from 20 yrs. ago! She had great advice then.
My father had a heart attack this year. He's lost 70 pounds and just turned 70. He's in the best shape of his life. I need to get motivated to be like him when I grow up.
Sounds like your father is fully recovered. How wonderful! Sometimes a traumatic event like that provides all the motivation we need to get healthy. I'm hoping the trauma of looking at my cellulite in a fitting room mirror will be enough for me!
I had been going through Joyce’s stuff for a family friend who asked me to research about a good cellulite book on the internet. She does look wonderful at sixty six years of age.
P.S: The videos are not working. Do you mind uploading them again. I would like to see them.
Thanks for letting me know, Kevin. The original videos I posted are no longer available on youtube, but I posted a couple other ones in their place.
